2. THE PAINTINGS
We paint each painting by hand. There is no "mechanical process" or "reproduction method" involved in doing the paintings; each is truly a hand-painted piece of art - one artist working alone. No machines or canvas-transfer techniques are used. Our professional artists start with a blank canvas and they hand-paint the painting from start to finish using only the best oil paints on the finest Belgian linen canvas.

4. THE ARTISTS
Our gallery works with hundreds of highly talented artists in different countries worldwide. With many years of experience, and with degrees in the fine arts, our artists are experts in their own style and know the authentic techniques and intricacies of the worlds most desired and renowned form of artwork - fine oil painting on traditional European linen canvas. All of the artwork is painted abroad, signed by the artist and then imported from our Gallery in New York or directly from the studios of our artists throughout the world.

5. COLLECTIONS
The gallery’s collection of paintings includes a vast range of styles and subjects. We have divided them into three main categories; The Bronze Collection contains the works of the younger amateur artists and the Silver Collection contains the works of the graduated and professional artists. The finest of the categories is the Gold Collection, which includes hundreds of museum quality re-creations of many famous masterpieces. These re-creations are painted incredibly close to the originals in color, texture, and even brush stroke.

6. PAINTING A MASTERPIECE
When painting a rendition of an original “Masterpiece,” every effort has been made to match the exact colors and style of the original painting. Each canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and is protected against acidic deterioration. Once the painting has dried it is coated with a light varnish for protection.

9. MAINTAINING YOUR PAINTINGS
An original oil painting is very easy to maintain and has a wonderfully long life. Many of the original oil on canvas paintings by the great masters artists are still with us after hundreds of years. The reality and beauty of maintaining an oil painting is that all you have to do is dust it with a dry cloth or fine dust brush every few months, and nothing else.

10. FRAMING BEHIND GLASS
An oil painting has the longest life when it is exposed to the air. The linen canvas is water resistant since it is covered with oil paints and breathes in such a case, rather than collect moisture as pictures ultimately do when framed behind glass.

12. FRAME MAKING
All of our frames are essentially wood and beautifully handcrafted. We follow the traditional technique of production, which dates back to the Baroque era of the 17th century. Depending on the particular design, 80% to 90% of the frame is carved out of high quality wood such as Cedar, Oak or Pine, where then different types of “Compo” (Italian clays) are hand-molded and worked onto the wood. The Compo is then hardened to the density of wood. After that the gold leafing is done. Each sheet of leaf is placed by hand melted onto the frame to give the finest finish.

13. FRAME SIZES
The frames are crafted in standard sizes that match the sizes of the paintings mentioned above. Please note that in the frames, these are the dimensions of the inner portion of the frame and that the outer measurements are greater. You can determine the width of each frame by the first two digits of its model number. This means that if the first two digits are 09, the frame is 9 cm wide.

14. FRAME MAINTENANCE
To clean any of our frames, a dry cloth does the job. A fine dust brush can be used to remove any accumulated dust. Since they are wooden, we suggest not to use water while cleaning them.
